With the internal rotations, I find I can only lift my leg slightly. What muscle is this working? Is it from the glutes or the inner thigh? Another good workout : )
Lots of muscles activate to move the leg internally. Muscles in the glutes but also inner thigh. I usually focus more on the glutes as I can feel the leg moving in the hip joint and I can most definitely feel the glutes working, however, the inner thighs are also working.
You might find you don’t have the flexibility to move the leg internally that much. I know if I’m feeling tight in the glutes, I can’t lift the heel as high. It is also not a movement we do often in everyday life and therefore might take some times before you can increase your range of movement.
