Detox with Ceza

The month of indulgence is now over and we have entered the month of new resolutions and new beginnings. For many this is the time for getting fit, eating healthy and losing the Christmas weight.

Last January I did the 30 Days Healthy Living Challenge. The challenge is a great way to detox the body and recharge for the coming year without having to starve yourself. It is a great way to kick start healthy eating and fitness.

The first week is the hardest as you are detoxing the body of all the toxins, including coffee, tea, bread, sugar, alcohol and dairy. So you will feel lethargic and a little fuzzy head. Once you get passed that, you will feel great. The cravings will go and you will feel energised and amazing. I honestly didn’t believe it would get to that point, even though many said you do, but I kept going and was pleasantly surprised that I felt that good and so full of energy.

I followed the guide and used Arbonne Nutritional supplements to aid the process. After the 30 days, I not only felt great, I had also lost 4 kilos (8.8 lbs).

The Challenge is also a brilliant way to get creative with food and discover new recipes. There is no reason why you can’t get your whole family involved. If you are up for it, why not choose a day or 2 where you don’t have meat. You will be surprised by some of the tasty recipes you will discover!

This is healthy living guide and can be continued as it is about eating healthy and not starving yourself or losing weight (that is just a nice benefit). If you want to reintroduce certain food groups after the 30 days, slowly reintroduce them into your diet. Just because you are being healthy doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself occasionally. Think of the 80:20 rule, be good 80% of the time and bad 20% of the time.

I found the most important thing to being able to do the 30 Days Healthy Living was planning. I planned my food for the day or week, including my snacks. This way I didn’t crave food and didn’t reach for rubbish because I was hungry and didn’t have food. Planning is key!
